Rachel first started pole fitness in 2008 and she began teaching at the end of 2009. Rachel feel in love with the strength element of pole dancing and immediately saw an increase in her upper body strength and all over fitness. She even began to see an increase in her flexibility which she never thought possible.
Aside from the strength aspect of pole, Rachel loves putting combinations together and thinking up ways to transition from one spin/trick to another and likes nothing better than having a 'pole jam' with her pole buddies to try out new moves and bounce ideas off each other.
Teaching pole has enabled Rachel to pass her passion for pole onto fellow polers. She is a firm believer that 'can't' does not exist when it comes to acheiving spins, tricks and transitions on the pole and that anything that does not come easily is simply a 'work in progress. The splits being Rachel's 'work in progress'.
Rachel aims to make her classes fun. rewarding and social so that you walk away from her class feeling confident and with a feeling of accomplishment.
Rachel regularly attends workshops and master classes run by world class pole athletes including
Pantera Blacksmith, Michelle Shimmy, Michelle Natoli, Bendy Kate, Sarah Scott, Jess Leanne Norris,
Karen Chaundry, Rebecca Butcher, Annie Norris, Donna Gant, Dan Rosen, Leigh Ann Reilly & Jessalyn Medairy.
